Send a Cake Saving Hacks & Tips
Cute, but smaller than I hoped
I knew it said mini cake, but when I opened it I still kind of just stared at it for a second like… that’s it? It was cute and nicely packaged, so I’ll give them that, but after picking it out and waiting for it, I expected a little more. Just don’t order it thinking it’s anything close to a regular dessert
Total jumped at checkout
I picked a Send a Cake thinking it was a decent price, then started adding photos and one or two extras. By the time I got to checkout, I just stared at the total like… wait, where did that come from? I even backed up a page because I thought I clicked something wrong. I get extras cost more, but the starting price felt kind of misleading. Wish they showed the real cost earlier
They actually came through
My cake got held up with some weird delivery issue, and I was sitting there checking the tracking like, wait… what happened? I messaged customer service and after a few back-and-forths, they got it fixed. When it finally showed up, I literally did a little “yes!” in my kitchen. Glad they didn’t just leave me hanging.
Already planning another one
I tried Send a Cake for the first time and added a custom message, which was way easier than I expected. I thought it might come off kinda cheesy, but it actually made the gift feel so much more personal. After seeing how cute it turned out, I literally started thinking who I could send one to next
This might be my go-to gift now
I ordered one from sendacake the second that box popped open, everyone lost it. I kept replaying the reaction in my head after because it was just so much better than sending a normal cake. Such a funny little surprise, and now I’m already thinking who I can send one to next.
Fun surprise, just don’t expect fancy cake
I sent one of these from Send a Cake and the best part was definitely watching them open the box. They jumped back and laughed, and I was glad I had my phone out. The cake itself was just okay, not bad, but not something I’d order for the dessert alone. I’d probably do it again for a birthday surprise, just go in knowing you’re paying for the reaction more than the cake.
Cute idea, but the price made me second-guess it
I was excited picking out the little cake and thought it would be such a fun surprise. Then I got to checkout, added shipping and like two small extras, and just kind of stared at the total. It felt way too high for such a tiny cake. I still ordered it, but that excited feeling was pretty much gone by then.
Support was a hassle when I needed a quick answer
I reached out before my Send a Cake delivery because it was for a specific date, so I really needed a fast answer. I already had a bad feeling when I didn’t hear back right away, and yep… it dragged on. Then every follow-up felt like starting over with the verification stuff. I remember just staring at my phone like, seriously? I wasn’t asking for much, just wanted to make sure the gift went out right.
Felt like I was there
I sent a SendACake for a birthday I couldn’t make it to, and I added a few photos kind of last minute. I was a little nervous it would feel cheesy, but when they sent me a pic of them opening it, I just sat there smiling at my phone. It actually felt personal, like I still got to be part of the moment.
Already looked gift-ready
I ordered from Send a Cake and when the box showed up, I actually smiled before even opening it. The packaging was so cute I was like, yep, no wrapping needed. Such a nice little win when you’re sending a gift and don’t want it to look thrown together.
Cute, but not like the videos
I swear I set the box up right, but when they opened it, a couple of the butterflies just kind of flopped there instead of flying out. I just sighed and was like, okay, I guess that’s it. It was still cute and they seemed to like it, but yeah… not nearly as dramatic as the ads make it look.
Cute idea, but the cake went on a little journey
I ordered from Send a Cake because I wanted that fun little “omg surprise!” moment, and I’ll say this, the idea is genuinely adorable. But when we opened the box, the cake had clearly slid around like it had been doing laps in there. I literally just stared at it for a second like… come on, presentation is the whole thing here. It still tasted good, so I’m not mad-mad, but for something meant to be a cute reveal, I really wanted it to look a little more put together.
Changing the date was a headache
I ordered from Send a Cake and then noticed I needed to change the delivery date. I figured it’d be a quick fix, but nope, once it started processing I was just stuck with it. I literally closed my laptop and just sat there for a second because… seriously? I get they have deadlines, but it made the whole thing way more stressful than it needed to be.
Kept smiling after I ordered
Ordering from Send a Cake was easy. I picked the box, cake flavor, a couple add-ons, and the delivery date without getting stuck. I did go back and double-check one or two things, but it was no big deal. After I placed the order, I kept picturing them opening it and caught myself grinning about it later.
Way more fun than flowers
I sent a Send A Cake instead of the usual flowers, and omg the reaction was priceless. I kept replaying the video because they totally jumped and started laughing. Best little surprise ever, honestly...
Way better than I expected
I thought a shipped cake was gonna be kinda dry, so I only took a small slice at first. Then I went right back for more because it was actually fresh and tasted really good. I was legit surprised in the best way.
Cute idea, but kinda disappointing
I ordered a Send A Cake thinking it was going to be this funny little surprise moment, and I was excited watching them open it. The box did its thing, but the cake looked smaller than I expected and the whole thing just felt a little underwhelming for the price. I wanted to love it, but after it was over I just kept thinking, “that was it?”
Birthday surprise showed up late
I ordered a Send a Cake for a birthday surprise and it didn’t show up until after the birthday. I kept checking the door all day like an idiot, and by the time it arrived, the whole moment was just gone. I didn’t even feel like opening the box anymore
Fun box, meh cake
When we opened it, everyone jumped and laughed, so yeah, the surprise box did its thing. But then we actually tried the cake and I kinda just stood there with my fork like… that’s it? For the price, I expected more. I’d maybe try a different one next time, but the cake itself was average.
Damaged box, weirdly hard replacement
My Send a Cake box showed up smashed, which already made the whole surprise feel ruined. I figured they’d just replace it, but nope, I had to keep sending info and re-explaining like they were hoping I’d just give up. I kept checking my messages and getting annoyed all over again. They did finally send a replacement, but it took way more pushing than it should’ve.
Tracking made my day
I ordered a Send a Cake for my friend’s birthday and I kept refreshing the tracking like a total weirdo. Then the updates actually kept coming through, clear and on time, and I literally grinned at my phone when I saw it was almost there. Saved me from spiraling all morning, honestly.
Totally worth it for the reaction
I sent one for my friend’s birthday watching her open it on FaceTime made me glad I picked it. She totally jumped and then couldn’t stop laughing. I wouldn’t order it for every occasion, but for a surprise birthday thing? Yeah, I’d tell people to just do it
Dented gift box
When the Send a Cake box showed up, I noticed the dent right away and just stood there for a second like, are you kidding me. I had bought it as a gift, so I was already checking the corners and trying to see if it still looked okay. It kind of ruined that fun surprise feeling before I even handed it over. For the price, I really expected it to arrive looking nicer.
They nailed the birthday timing
I ordered from sendacake for a birthday and watched the tracking like a nervous weirdo lol. It actually showed up on the exact day I picked, which made me so happy I was telling people about it. With a gift like this, the timing is everything, so honestly… big win
The surprise actually worked
I sent a Sendacake and was weirdly stressed watching them open it, like please don’t lift the lid inch by inch and ruin it. They finally popped it open right and everyone screamed/laughed, so it worked out. I just sat back after like, okay thank goodness, I can breathe now.
Such a sweet little surprise
I ordered from Send a Cake and the flying butterflies totally got us. The second the box opened and they popped out, everyone just cracked up. I kept replaying the video after because it made the whole room feel lighter. Kinda silly, but it was exactly what we needed...
Made being far away feel a little easier
I sent a Send a Cake to my family out of state and kept checking my phone like, “please let this not be weird.” Then they called laughing and showing me the cake, and I just sat there smiling for a minute. I couldn’t be there with them, but it still felt like I got to send a little piece of myself.
Ended up being the perfect pick
I kept clicking around because I couldn’t decide which box to get, then finally just picked a themed one for my friend’s birthday. When she opened it, I was like, wait… this is actually so her. She loved it right away, and now I’m probably just going to use Send a Cake for every birthday...
Small cake, big reaction
The cake was smaller than I pictured, not gonna lie, but when they opened the box and got all surprised, I just started laughing and forgot about that. It was such a cute little moment. I’d totally do it again for the reaction alone.
